Sam C. Bashara is a direct, result oriented attorney with over 40 years of experience handling family law matters. He works with clients facing potentially contentious and complex litigation matters. Sam’s practice is focused on representing clients in divorce, child custody, visitation and child support matters. He is experienced in cases involving complex, significant property issues. Sam also provides representation for people dealing with modification of prior court orders affecting children, enforcement of court orders, and pre-marital/post-marital agreements.
Sam graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a BBA in Accounting in 1968 and a law degree in 1970. He has been licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of Texas since 1971. Sam is also licensed in Federal District Court by the Western and Southern Districts of Texas, by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and by the United States Supreme Court. He is Board Certified in Family Law and Civil Trial Law. Sam is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas and the San Antonio Bar Association. He has written articles and made continuing legal education presentations at seminars for fellow attorneys in the area of family law.
Sam has been recognized in family law in The Best Lawyers in America published by Woodward/White from 1987-2013. He has also been recognized by Thomson Reuters as published in Texas Monthly magazine as a “Super Lawyer” from 2003-2011. Finally, Sam has been recognized in San Antonio Scene magazine’s S.A.
