Julian N. Schwartz is a dedicated, solutions oriented attorney who helps people that want to resolve their divorce and family law matters in a private, amicable, and respectful manner. He works primarily with people who wish to avoid the high emotional and financial cost associated with the litigation process. Julian assists families with children by helping them to stay focused on their children’s best interest and on preserving their long-term co-parenting relationship. Julian’s practice is focused on representing clients in collaborative family law matters, divorce situations, modifications of prior court orders affecting children, and pre-marital and post-marital agreements.
Julian graduated from Texas A & M University with a B.S. in Political Science in 1992. He received his law degree from St. Mary’s University in 1996 where he was also a member of Phi Delta Phi legal honor society. Julian has been licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of Texas since 1996. He began his career as a prosecutor with the Bexar County Criminal District Attorney’s office. In 2001, Julian became an associate attorney with the Law Offices of Sam C. Bashara and has been practicing family law ever since. In 2011, Julian became a shareholder of the Law Offices of Sam C. Bashara and the firm was renamed Bashara and Schwartz, P.C.
Julian has been recognized in San Antonio Scene magazine’s S.A. Lawyers Best of 2011 in collaborative law and in San Antonio Scene magazine’s S.A. Lawyers Best of 2012 in both family law and collaborative law. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the College of the State Bar, the San Antonio Bar Association and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. Julian is a member of the Collaborative Law Institute of Texas where he has served on the Board of Trustees since 2007 and as the President for 2012. He is a founding member and a past-president of the Collaborative Professionals Association of San Antonio. Julian has been a frequent speaker and author on the collaborative process at seminars for fellow attorneys and presentations for other professionals. Julian served as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy.
